This time i want shared about types of extinguisher and how to selected the suitable type according the working area.I hope it can be a basic reference to all of you.In the market now,it have two main type of fire extinguisher :-
Types of Fire Extinguisher
1) Stored pressure
It very common used in domestic and industrial.Depend on what agent or ingredient used stored in pressure chamber.It have a dry and wet agent,likes water or CO2 or nitrogen etc.The expellant is stored in the same chamber.
2) Cartridge-Operated
This type is not as common used.the expellant gas in a separate cartridge that is punctured prior to discharge.It available in dry and wet type.

Fire Extinguisher For Electrical Fire ( CLASS C )
Class C : fires involve electrical equipment, such as appliances, wiring, circuit breakers and outlets. Never use water to extinguish class C fires – the risk of electrical shock is very possible. Class C extinguishers do not have a numerical rating. The C classification means the extinguishing agent is non-conductive.
Here i want to discuss about the suitable fire extinguisher for electrical fire.It very important to know the right type of fire extinguisher.If we use the wrong type it can make other damage like short circuit or make the situation more worst.
For electrical fire,the right type of fire extinguisher is CO2 ( carbon dioxide ).They are suitable for fight with electrical fires and burning liquids.It is the clean gases and it does not pollute the environment.
But it dangerous because can replaced the oxygen quantity causing suffocation and can cause the frostbite is not proper used.It also are highly pressurized.The color code for CO2 type is RED WITH A BLACK BAND.
