VDE or Insulated screwdriver is a common tool and should be in electrical tools box.If you not familiar with VDE or insulated tools,please read on my last post about description of VDE tools and application.I describe detail about it.

For this post,i want to share my review about the new VDE or insulated Screwdriver Set from FACOM.I bought this VDE Screwdriver Set on last month with price around $70.I’ve choose the screwdriver set from model APVE.J6PB.

VDE stand for Verband der Elektrotechnik .It is the Association of German Electrical Engineers as known now by the name of Association for Electrical, Electronic &Information Technologies .

The VDE Testing and Certification Institute is a nationally and internationally accredited institution in the field of  testing and certification of electrical engineering devices,components and systems.

VDE tools is main equipment for electrician when perform their electrical works to avoid short circuit and unnecessary contact to each other of phase if circuit in live mode.All electrician must have a basic about VDE tools and how to use it.

VDE Screwdriver for terminal

For electrical termination,the tightness of terminal screw important to avoid sparking and can burn out the electrical cable.It also can cause serious damage for equipment or machine.

That why manufacture design the special terminal screw head for more torque when fastening the screw.We can found terminal screw used in switch board,circuit breaker,fuse box,terminal block and relay.

The special design for screw head is combination profile from Phillips and slotted or Pozidriv and slotted.This combination very unique because it can reduce slipping and more torque transfer when we fasten the terminal screw.

Crimping tool

This tool is very important when we want crimp a cable lugs.For detail,please refer to my last post about cable lug.Without this tool,a connection between conductor and lugs not perfect or loosen.

It will make damage for conductor or can cause a problem if we use it for electrical installation.Cable lug is a common practice when involve in electrical  fitting and termination.

It have a size of crimp depend on size of conductor.More big size of conductor then more size for crimping tool.In the market, we can get a manual or hydraulic crimping tool mechanism.It depend on our application and conductor size. read more

This hand tool is very familiar used around the world.It have a various typical names likes Allen Wrench,Zeta Key,Hex Keys, Allen key and Hex Wrench.All this name refer to the same tool.The different area call for different name.It common thing for hand tool name.
