When we perform electrical task,the tool must suitable and safety with our task.This post i want discuss about insulated and VDE pliers.This tool very important during electrical installation,termination for power supply or control panel.It used for gripping,holding,stripping and cutting.

Why i’m interested to discuss about insulated or VDE pliers?The reason it is about safety and avoid from electric shock during perform electrical jobs in live situation.Many technician or electrical person not aware about this matter.

Crimping tool

This tool is very important when we want crimp a cable lugs.For detail,please refer to my last post about cable lug.Without this tool,a connection between conductor and lugs not perfect or loosen.

It will make damage for conductor or can cause a problem if we use it for electrical installation.Cable lug is a common practice when involve in electrical  fitting and termination.

It have a size of crimp depend on size of conductor.More big size of conductor then more size for crimping tool.In the market, we can get a manual or hydraulic crimping tool mechanism.It depend on our application and conductor size. read more

How to crimping a cable lug?

Before we perform the crimping job,we must provide the suitable tools.The tools such as Crimping tools,cable cutter and cable lugs.Please ensure a lugs size is fix with electric cable.We can refer to the tag on the lugs.

If you not sure or familiar with crimping tools and cable cutter,please refer to my post about crimping tools and cable cutter.I explain detail about it.Please used the tools properly.it can cause the injury if mistaken happen.SAFETY FIRST.

To do a perfect crimp of cable lugs is very important to ensure the fitting and installation job running smoothly.If the cable lug loose because the crimping process is not done properly, it will cause a cable is damaged or burnt. Read more
