Electro-Mechanical star delta starter

Star Delta starter is the most widely used application especially for Air-compressor and HVAC system.This starter used for 6 or 12 wire for motor terminal depend on electric motor that chosen for the application.

Basically this starter used 3 unit contactor,1 unit timer delay,1 unit overload relay and start/stop button to control the star delta motor.Around the world,it have many types of control circuit design for star delta.

It have different design and technique  for the control circuit but the main objective is same,to reduce starting inrush current.

charging methods for UPS batteries

When we used the power from batteries,it will drop and losses the power performance.It must be charging to full back a capacity of batteries.It must be discharged periodically and charged up back to ensure it will supply enough power supply when needed.

Auto transformer

This is a one from several types of transformer.It usually used for motor starter,we recognize it by name “auto transformer starter”.Basically design for auto transformer only have a single winding and provided with tap connection for step up or down.

It have magnetic core with single winding which common primary and secondary circuits.The primary connection is connected with main AC power supply and secondary connection is connected with load.

If the primary is the total winding and is connected to a supply and the secondary circuit is connected across only a portion of the winding,It mean this is for stepped down voltage. read more
