VDE or Insulated screwdriver is a common tool and should be in electrical tools box.If you not familiar with VDE or insulated tools,please read on my last post about description of VDE tools and application.I describe detail about it.

For this post,i want to share my review about the new VDE or insulated Screwdriver Set from FACOM.I bought this VDE Screwdriver Set on last month with price around $70.I’ve choose the screwdriver set from model APVE.J6PB.

Every time before i start my electrical routine job or maintenance task, i make sure all my tools in good condition and all insulated condition is perfect without any damage or crack.This routine check is important to ensure we perform with safe tools and can avoid any accident or electrical shock. read more

Safety precaution for electrical works

As we known when working on electrical installations, safety matter is our priority.Every step we need to consider about hazards when perform electrical works.

Only competent electrician can work on electrical installation or live condition according to relevant industrial safety standards.Common industrial safety standard for electrical works such as VDE 0105 for Germany, and international standards for EN 50110 or IEC 60364.

For electrician,they need to special tools which have been tested and qualified with electrical standard.Hand tools also must suitable and followed the electrical standard  IEC 60900 and it has specified worldwide requirements for tools for electrical live condition.

What is an electric shock?

In the Electrical Engineering field,many cases of accident or death around the world causes by electric shocked.It very dangerous because we cannot see,smell and feel the electric current.

Current flow into our body and can make heart stop from functioning and can cause the serious injury even death.The level of danger for electric shock depends on the value of the body current and the time for which the current flows.

Human body have a different insulation value (Ohm) and also different current value can effected the heart.For the body have a low current level,it can easily attack the heart function and it so dangerous.

Electrostatic level and prevention action

Electrostatic level is a sudden electric current flow from one material to another material.If we remember how to generated electro static using rod plastic and cloth on science lab class.

Theoretically  a voltage level for ESD can damage for any electronic component is around 100-500 Volt.For the very sensitive electronic components,normally it only can withstand around 25-170 Volt.

How we can known the Electrostatic damage (ESD) phenomena?Normally we possibility can hear a ”click” sound when touching an object or equipment.From the research possibility voltage generate for the “click” sound is at least 3.5 kV. read more

As we known,equipment or machinery for home or industrial applications controlled by electronic circuit board.With intelligent technology,it can control many function with more sophisticated application to make our jobs and living style more easier and accurate.

But it have a disadvantage for the electronic latest technology.The main problem is Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).Today around the world users facing this problem and the figure is increasing day by day.

As we known,rubber is very good for electric insulation.It used in many electrical safety equipment and device to protect person from electric shocked.Rubber mats is a rubber sheet commonly used at sub station and control panel.

The main purpose is to cover and insulate floors from electric path away to the earth and to avoid completed circuit when current flow in human body.It can save our life from electric shock when perform electrical task.

We must ensure the rubber mats have a quality and follow electrical regulation standard and specification.Please checked the rubber mats condition and apparent it is in good shape to avoid any injuries or death causes when electric shock happened. read more

VDE stand for Verband der Elektrotechnik .It is the Association of German Electrical Engineers as known now by the name of Association for Electrical, Electronic &Information Technologies .

The VDE Testing and Certification Institute is a nationally and internationally accredited institution in the field of  testing and certification of electrical engineering devices,components and systems.

VDE tools is main equipment for electrician when perform their electrical works to avoid short circuit and unnecessary contact to each other of phase if circuit in live mode.All electrician must have a basic about VDE tools and how to use it.
