VDE or Insulated screwdriver is a common tool and should be in electrical tools box.If you not familiar with VDE or insulated tools,please read on my last post about description of VDE tools and application.I describe detail about it.

For this post,i want to share my review about the new VDE or insulated Screwdriver Set from FACOM.I bought this VDE Screwdriver Set on last month with price around $70.I’ve choose the screwdriver set from model APVE.J6PB.

Every time before i start my electrical routine job or maintenance task, i make sure all my tools in good condition and all insulated condition is perfect without any damage or crack.This routine check is important to ensure we perform with safe tools and can avoid any accident or electrical shock. read more

VDE stand for Verband der Elektrotechnik .It is the Association of German Electrical Engineers as known now by the name of Association for Electrical, Electronic &Information Technologies .

The VDE Testing and Certification Institute is a nationally and internationally accredited institution in the field of  testing and certification of electrical engineering devices,components and systems.

VDE tools is main equipment for electrician when perform their electrical works to avoid short circuit and unnecessary contact to each other of phase if circuit in live mode.All electrician must have a basic about VDE tools and how to use it.

VDE Screwdriver for terminal

For electrical termination,the tightness of terminal screw important to avoid sparking and can burn out the electrical cable.It also can cause serious damage for equipment or machine.

That why manufacture design the special terminal screw head for more torque when fastening the screw.We can found terminal screw used in switch board,circuit breaker,fuse box,terminal block and relay.

The special design for screw head is combination profile from Phillips and slotted or Pozidriv and slotted.This combination very unique because it can reduce slipping and more torque transfer when we fasten the terminal screw.

When we perform electrical task,the tool must suitable and safety with our task.This post i want discuss about insulated and VDE pliers.This tool very important during electrical installation,termination for power supply or control panel.It used for gripping,holding,stripping and cutting.

Why i’m interested to discuss about insulated or VDE pliers?The reason it is about safety and avoid from electric shock during perform electrical jobs in live situation.Many technician or electrical person not aware about this matter.

From the statistic for injury due to electrical shock,15 % of the root cause came from mistaken to choose the suitable hand tools when perform with electrical jobs.So i hope from my little explanation,it will make you clear view about how important the insulated tool for electrical person. read more

This hand tool is very familiar used around the world.It have a various typical names likes Allen Wrench,Zeta Key,Hex Keys, Allen key and Hex Wrench.All this name refer to the same tool.The different area call for different name.It common thing for hand tool name.

What is a Test pen or Voltage tester?

This tool is used to test circuits quickly to ensure that the circuit or conductor is live or not guided from indicator bulb or LED.The rated voltage for this tool only for 600VAC below.DONT USE IT FOR TEST HIGH VOLTAGE.It can cause the serious injury.

If a bulb is light on,that mean the conductor or a circuit is live.Usually it is shaped like a Screwdriver slotted, but it has the indicator in it.It can be used as the Screwdriver and the tools to test live circuits.

What is VDE screwdriver?

In electrical works, sometimes we have to do the work in the live circuit.So to ensure we are safe from electrical shock, equipment used must be appropriate to work in a live circuit.

I`m using a VDE SoftFinish®electric Screwdriver From WIHA.This is my favorite tool because it the high quality blade insulation is molded directly onto the blade and therefore guarantees safety when working on live equipment up to 1500 V DC or 1000 V AC.
